The demand for quality and the pressure of a deadline can often feel like opposing forces. This is the story of how we worked together with Tradepoint A/S to achieve both, with a flawlessly refined bamboo product delivered on a swift development timeline.
Meet Tradepoint A/S
Tradepoint A/S is a Denmark-based company specializing in the global sourcing, development, and delivery of furniture and homeware. They have been a notable, growing presence in the international furniture industry since 1997.
Their product line reflects Scandinavian values: clean and minimalist designs, utilizing sustainable natural materials. To bring these values to life at scale, the company partners with manufacturers across Asia and Eastern Europe, consistently deliver high-quality products for retailers around the world. A true example of a company with a global outlook and strong local partnerships!
Artex Nam An is proud to support Tradepoint A/S since 2022.
Challenges and Objectives
When Tradepoint reached out for support on their bamboo toilet roll holders, their main concern was the product’s finishing quality. Nail holes were too noticeable, and too much filler was used during assembly, which affected the overall look and feel.
Since their customers expect a clean and minimal design that is in line with Scandinavian aesthetics, it was important to refine the product’s appearance and deliver a smoother, more polished finish..
At the same time, their team needed many samples across different projects, often under tight deadlines. That meant they were looking for a manufacturer who could move quickly, stay flexible, and still deliver top-level results.
So how can we solve the puzzle of quick sample delivery, without sacrificing quality?
Our Collaborative Approach
Regarding Product Finish Concerns
We started by analyzing different joinery options to improve structure and appearance. After rounds of testing, we developed a new jointing method that reduced the need for nails. By combining this technique with strong, high-quality adhesives, we achieved smoother, cleaner joins.
This approach gave the product a more polished finish, capable of meeting higher design expectations fit for retail.
Faster, More Reliable Sampling
To support Tradepoint’s fast-moving development cycle, we held several joined discussions, sorting and prioritizing sample requests based on urgency and importance.
We also coordinated with our trusted supplier network to speed up material sourcing and production. By negotiating shorter lead times and planning ahead, bottlenecks were reduced and the sampling time was kept on track.
Outcome and Impact
The new version of the bamboo toilet roll holder met the visual standards expected in premium homeware retail, with cleaner joins, a more refined surface, and a design that stayed true to Scandinavian simplicity.
More importantly, the project helped Tradepoint maintain momentum across a fast-moving development calendar. With a more reliable, more agile sampling process, and fewer corrections needed between rounds, their team could shift focus toward creative exploration and strategic planning rather than chasing fixes.
This collaboration also deepened our partnership. At Artex Nam An, we aim to be a quiet but steady part of our partner’s value chain. Our success is measured by what our partners are able to achieve: better products, stronger customer satisfaction, and more room to grow.
We’re proud to keep walking alongside Tradepoint as they grow their collection and their community, and eager to see what we’ll create together in the chapters ahead.
